E-Learning Days 4 and 5
Groundwater Erosion, Caves, and Glacier Erosion
DIRECTIONS:
1. Each E-Learning day has its own document to read, its own videos to watch, and its own quiz.
2. Download the document for each day into its own note NOTABILITY. For both days 4 and 5, put them in the "Science of Soil" subject since they deal with weathering and erosion topics
3. You will need do a Close Reading of the text.
a. On the first read, read all the way through. Make sure to read and examine pictures, captions, maps, etc.
b. On the second read through, you need to annotate. For more information on annotation, go to the "Science Literacy and Vocabulary" page of this website.
c. On the third read through, summarize each paragraph in the side margins.
4. After reading the text, you need to watch the videos. Please feel free to watch them as many times as needed. Also, please pause and rewind if needed as well. It may be a good idea to jot down info you learn from the videos. If you do this I recommend the following:
a. add it to the text you downloaded - add another page to the note in Notability and write the video information there
b. OR you can jot down information on paper - take a picture of it and add it to the text
5. Once you have read the text closely, watched the videos and reviewed any notes and information, take the quiz. You may refer back to the text, videos, and your notes as often as needed.

eLearning Day #6: Cells Working Together
Whew! Another eLearning day! Keep working on everything from previous days, such as your Cell City Project and the mind map.
Download the following document. It will look familiar since it is the last two pages in "Looking Inside Cells."
Download the following document. It will look familiar since it is the last two pages in "Looking Inside Cells."
- Read this document carefully.
- Here is a video that might be helpful: https://youtu.be/gEUu-A2wfSE
- Complete the following tasks and record on paper (so I can check them easier).
- If you absolutely need to type that is okay as well, making sure your name is typed on the document. (Email to [email protected])
- Complete figure 6 and 7. (You can do this digitally in the document then write answer on paper if needed.)
- Then, create a graphic organizer of some sort, such as a data table or mind map, even a top-down chart where you will DEFINE, and DRAW EXAMPLES of the following words: tissue, organ, and organ system.
